To
have your favourite Motown track play on your phone whenever you receive
a call just following the instructions below.
1) There are 3 types of mobile tones available; which you require is
based upon the age and model of your handset.
The best tones available are Realtones – musical segments taken
from the original song, exactly as you know and love it. They are available
on all recent handsets (after Jan 2005).
Then there are ringtones, tunes that are re-played by using your phone’s
internal sounds. These come in 2 types, polyphonic ringtones (‘polys’
- many notes!) or monophonic ringtones (‘mono’ - single noted
and not that musical at all!)
2) If you don’t already know which type of ringtone your handset
is compatible with then go to www.universal-mobile.co.uk
3) Choose which type of tone you require. For realtones or polys you
must ensure that your handset is WAP enabled to receive the content. WAP
stands for Wireless Application Protocol and in this instance is simply
a method of your phone connecting to a specially designed website. If
you are unsure whether your phone is WAP enabled contact your network
operator who will be able to set this up without charge (please see below
for useful contact numbers)
4) Once you have decided which song you want on your phone, and whether
you require a realtone, poly or mono, simply send a text message with
the corresponding code to 85123.
5) You will then receive a confirmation text message from us. If you
purchased a realtone you will also receive a WAP message, similar to an
internet link, that will take you to a page where you can download your
realtone. If you requested a ringtone, you will first receive a text allowing
you to choose between a poly or mono ringtone. The poly tone will be delivered
via WAP, the mono tone will be sent by text message.
6) The cost of the tone will be added to your mobile phone bill if you
are on monthly billing, or deducted from your credit if you are on pre-pay.
See pricing information below.
7) By following the instructions to download the tone your phone will
then either save the file to its memory or give you the option to save,
which you should accept.
8) The tone will now be saved to your handset and available to set as
the ringing tone for incoming calls. |
